Official stations publish their siting and instrumentation; hobby stations usually do not. Everything an observation needs to be interpreted honestly is here, including where this station falls short of the standards.
The WMO standard for wind is 10 m over open ground, and 1.25–2 m for temperature. Readings here are not height-corrected: if the anemometer is below 10 m, wind will read lower than an official station in the same air.
Readings are polled from the gateway over the local network every 16 seconds and archived once a minute. Nothing passes through a manufacturer's cloud service, and the station keeps recording during an internet outage.
